This workshop is a series of graduated demonstrations I have developed over the last 15 years to teach students, in a very practical and experiential way, how to live balance and support in everything they do. The sequence progresses through a series of step-by-step demonstrations in a natural sequence, each one giving an experience and an understanding of fundamental principles then leading on naturally to the next step.
Collectively, the series proves remarkably powerful and quick at getting people to be able to operate with ease and poise in standing, in bending, in walking, in lifting and in sitting/standing up. The series is also very effective at refining people's ability to be in touch with their own system's signals about support and strain — feedback that becomes second nature in guiding them and telling them what they need to know in order to be present and whole, and to operate in a supported and easy way.
With this material students can come to a reasonably good use of themselves in a just a few sessions that used take dozens of lessons, and the best part is that most of their learning takes place in how they play around with it in their daily lives.
In this presentation, David will take you through the steps while highlighting the pedagogy and process so that you too can adapt the series for your own teaching. Each participant will receive an audio copy of the workshop for further study.
